Data protection information

All the important and legal information at a glance.

Information on data protection

We take the protection of your privacy and your personal data very seriously. Insofar as we process your personal data, this is done under the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG). We ensure that your data is optimally protected against unauthorized access by third parties by means of technical and organisational requirements.

Personal data

Your personal information is personal information that allows a conclusion to be made about your identity. This includes, for example, information such as your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address as well as information about your surfing habits, insofar as this information can be directly or indirectly assigned to you.

You can basically use our website without revealing your identity. Only when you register for a service offered on this website or use the contact form might we ask you for certain personal information. You are free to decide whether or not you wish to enter your data.

Under the statutory provisions, we can create and evaluate user profiles using pseudonyms so that we can customise our web site specifically to suit users' requirements, for market research purposes or for the purpose of advertising; but we can only do this if you have not made use of your legal right to contradict this use of your data at any time. Instructions for exercising your right of objection can be found at the end of these notes.

IP address and other technical data

Once you visit our site, your IP address will be stored by our server for technical reasons (besides that, the server stores other technical data such as the date and time of the website access or the Internet browser you use). The IP address is a number that identifies your computer on the Internet. For private users, the IP address is basically regularly reassigned by your Internet service provider so that we can identify you via your IP address only in principle, but not in actual fact.

Our server stores IP addresses for a maximum period of 7 days to ensure the stability and reliability of our system. After that, any data regarding the access to our website is deleted.

Using the services of our website

Cookies and similar technologies

"Cookies" are small text files that are saved by the web pages on your device as soon as you retrieve them. It is predominantly cookies that are used to ensure the functioning of websites.

This website uses different types of cookies. A distinction must be made between the following:

  • Temporary session cookies, which are regularly deleted after you close your Internet browser;
  • Permanent cookies that remain stored on your device for a longer period and which contain some settings, such as the language you selected to use our website;
  • First-party cookies, which are stored by our website on your device;
  • Cookies from other Internet services authorized and used on this website (so-called third-party cookies) that are stored by them on your device.

Among the first-party cookies used on this website, there are session cookies and persistent cookies. The website stores information in the permanent cookies in order to save any of your possible personal user settings and your user experience to offer you an improved experience on your next visit (e.g. your chosen language settings). The website stores technical information required for the operation of the website in temporary session cookies. The latter cookies are stored on your device for a maximum of 1 day.

Services provided by third parties for the evaluation of user behaviour or for the provision of Internet services are also used on this website. The service provider may use cookies (third-party cookies), tracking pixels or similar analytical technologies. More detailed information on the Internet and analytical technologies used here can be found in the sections below. See the end of this Data Protection Information for additional information regarding the identities of the service providers, which we have marked with a *.

In general, you can instruct your browser to prevent the storage of cookies or the execution of analytical technologies. However, some features of this website will then no longer be available to you. As a compromise, you can set your browser so that it notifies you when a cookie or similar analytical technology is used. For further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via the menu item "Contact".

Third-party analysis tools

Visitor statistics via Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a Google* analysis service. Google Analytics uses so-called 'cookies', which are stored on your computer to help the website analyse how you use the site. The information generated by the cookie is, as a rule, transmitted to and stored by Google on a server in the USA. Your IP address will basically be truncated by Google within Member States of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmission. On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website for us, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and Internet usage.  The anonymised IP address forwarded by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics will not be associated with any other data held by Google. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting and processing your data by either adjusting the cookie settings of your browser (see above) or by downloading and installing the plug-in at the following link offered by Google:
